Our 4cy gas head stopped working and we traded up to this 40 Volt Electric.. And have used for several days now, and really like it well.
The string does good, but the straight shaft with the brush blade on it does even much better, and that three prong blade is fantastic on the years worth of overgrown brush, small saplings that have grown up about four feet tall, and some prickly vines with wood stock. and really bushy top fern type weeds with hard wood stems.
Highly recommend the 40 Volt electric model and the brush blade. Would also advise a second battery, as it takes 90 or so min to charge one from empty; and typically it has taken me about 45 min or so to empty one on the work we have done so far.
it is still working good so far.
