It would be nice to have a battery Jigsaw for quick jobs or certain circumstances but at the end of it all I think I want to keep a cord on mine. When I’m running a bead board ceiling or base with outlets in it I don’t think I would wanna keep changing out batteries.

innomind says:

How does it compare to the upcoming Festool Carvex Jigsaw that’s coming in Fall 2013?

Ahad rash says:

can put 18v batre on
this

Richard Cowtails says:

I realized the ac version doesnt have the detents….

The thin blue line says:

Love the one I have, but I couldn’t agree more about the anti splinter insert. Absalutly a chinsy. I got tired of trying to get it to stay put and just tossed it in the drawer. Other then that, I love it! Great review as always!

SPAHN MAN says:

The reason they give only one battery who uses a jigsaw that much were you will use up even one battery

Do you happen to know if dewalt is coming out with the brushless model of this? By the way your reviews are awesome.

Wesbug says:

Personally, I don’t mind that it doesn’t come with a 2nd battery as I can just buy an extra. Is that really such a pain to do? Seems like you had to fish for things wrong here.  It’s a great tool, but, obviously, every tool could better. Maybe it needs a laser on it, too.

The Trusty Bucket says:

So I came here to figure out how to adjust the angle of my jigsaw.. I moved the lever at the bottom of the plate but the shoe or plate won’t turn.. sup with that?

Sai Gon says:

that good speed..and good blow

A Concord Carpenter / ToolBoxBuzz says:

Not sure but I’m guessing the Fetool will blow it’s doors off in quality. The Festool is the Cadillac and a bit niche – the Dewalt is 1/3 of the price and probably more job site durable.

Jim Hope says:

I recently bought the dewalt 18v circular saw ,with two 4.0 li ion batteries. It’s an excellent tool, powerful, light and comfortable to use. Looks like Dewalt’s jigsaw is of similar quality. You’ve convinced me to buy this item.
I stopped buying dewalt a few years back due to the poor quality of their tools. However their new lithium tools are outstanding.
Up until the recent past buying power tools was a bit of a lottery. But,with reviewers like you, tradesmen can buy with more confidence. Great review.
Thanks

omar reyes says:

how much this cost??

Lawrence Brennan says:

I didn’t like the anti-splinter piece either. It was very cheesy.

The Reynolds says:

A cawdless jig sawr.

Michael Cabbage says:

Wish they would make a barrel grip version

Joseph Romus says:

Great review, thanks

R Ramos says:

i found the dewalt to be a junky tool. i could never get the blade to be at a perfect 90 degree angle to the shoe. i would cut wood and i would get cuts that were not square. another problem i had was locking in a blade. every once in a while the blade would just fall out even thought i had locked it in exactly as it should be. it should also have a button that should be pressed before squeezing the trigger. a few times when i picked up the jig saw from the workbench i accidently hit the trigger and started it up. its an accident waiting to happen. yes i know it has the lock but its easy to forget to lock the tool when not in use.

Really good review Rob! Been wanting to get a cordless jigsaw for some time. Dewalt and Milwaukee sure make it tough to decide between the two…but anyway, as always, great video!

A Concord Carpenter / ToolBoxBuzz says:

Thanx man – and thanx for the comments!!!

Stella Jaeger says:

What the f do was wrong with the 18 volt?

Jim Hope says:

I’ve got this tool now. Great bit of kit. Only one minor complaint,it doesn’t have an led light. That aside,it’s difficult to find fault with this tool.
