Dremel Velocity VC60-01 Oscillating Tool Review

Review of the Dremel VC60-01 kit. Got this from Home Depot. So far I am really enjoying this Oscillating Tool. It cuts much smoother than the other brand that I have.

Pros: Easy to change the blades, you will love this.
Cuts really smoothly without the harsh vibration I am used to.
Dremel blades seem to be holding up good.
The “Foot” makes cutting a straight line a breeze and really steadies the machine.

Cons: Price
A little heavy
Tool does not fit in bag with blades attached

It performs the tasks oscillating tools are best at fantastically, but it doesn’t do everything perfectly. It comes with a blade to cut through 2×4’s. You will do this once to try it and then go back to your circular saw or reciprocating saw. I do like it for cutting tubing though. Whips right through it with a really smooth cut.

Will I be able t manage it, is my concern.

Lisa Kaberlein says:

I have a 1 1/4″ pine wood floor in my kitchen that I want to remove and replace with ceramic tile. My big issue is that I DO NOT want to remove the base cabinetry. Will this tool fit under the cabinetry to remove the wood flush to the kickplate?

Rick Reed says:

We just purchased one. Received it in the mail yesterday, used it today and are very pleased with the way it handles and cuts! Worth the but for a DIYER.
