Husqvarna 450 Rancher Chainsaw Review

I’ve had my Husqvarna 450 Rancher Chainsaw for a few years. I do tend to baby it a bit, in that I try to wipe it down and keep it looking new every now and then. I generally use it for cutting firewood each year for myself and my mother in law, as well as general clearing around the homestead. I figured I have had it and used it enough I could justify a decent review of it. To help demonstrate how easy it is to start, I lick the muffler first, just so you know it’s cold. Tasty.

I need to upgrade. I bought a “top of the line” Craftsman after hurricane Katrina. It starts easy enough but to be their biggest saw it has no muscle. I think I could do as much work with an off brand electric saw.

Nice video. I had a Poulan saw, and I hated it. Had to pull forever for it to start. The bar oil would fling all over the place. If I ever get another saw, it will be either a Husqvarna or a Stihl.

yeah i no more for me

First of all you push down on the lever to turn it off not choke it out. And you should never have to give it throttle to start. The choke sets the fast idle.
